At Robinsons UK, we pride ourselves on having the knowledge, skills and experience from servicing, installing and maintaining product within all of the industries that we deliver training. We feel that learning and self-development is an essential and continual process within any career pathway.
We are industry and educational experts and so are thoroughly qualified and experienced in the specifics of the training that we provide and the teaching and assessment strategies that we utilise. This allows our learners to take away the skills and knowledge to develop even further than they initially thought possible.
Our courses are aimed at existing engineers and those wishing to enter into the heating and electrical industries. We also offer consultancy services and on-site conference facilities and our staff are always available to chat if you need any guidance or advice.
Simon.
Meet the Team
Stephen Mulinda – Technical Training Consultant
I’ve been in the Heating Industry as an Installer and Service Engineer for 13 years and I’m now privileged to be sharing my knowledge and experience as a Training Consultant with both experienced Engineers and new arrivals within the Heating Industry. I’m currently a Technical Trainer at Robinsons UK where I plan, develop and deliver training in Domestic and Commercial Gas, Oil, Biomass and Solid Fuel.
As someone who has sat on numerous training courses over the years I can appreciate the level of education within the Heating Industry could be improved greatly in many key areas. At Robinson’s UK, raising the level of education for all candidates that undertake our training courses is our sole intention. Ensuring the candidates are relaxed, encouraged and ultimately leave us with a much better understanding of what the standard the Industry requires is where our expertise is utilised.
I work with both large groups of Engineers for specific Industry training as well as bespoke training for small groups, or even individuals, tailored for niche Industry specialists.
Andrea Robinson – Learning and Development Manager
What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to teach, although I wasn’t sure (who does at 13 years old) what exactly I wanted to teach.
I now have over 20 years experience in the Learning, Development and Educational sector. My experience is wide-ranging and includes designing and delivery of training and teaching from ages 11-65 to managing a portfolio of training needs within schools, customer services and technical training.
I am a huge believer that learning sticks when it is built around the needs of all learners’ individual needs. Students and delegates find that my approachable manner and ability to read people allows me to facilitate this successfully. This has been shown throughout my career where students and delegates study in an environment that allows them to learn and reach the outcome that they expect in line with company aims and objectives.
Currently my role at Robinsons UK allows me to amalgamate all of my prior experience into one role where I:
* Manage the day to day running of the training teams roles and responsibilities;
* Assess HETAS training courses at all of our Centres.
* Design technical training courses in-line with the needs of accrediting bodies and training team;
* Provide consultancy to business partners to ensure training needs are fully met;
* Promotion and marketing of the Training Academy;
* Design and deliver bespoke courses that allow our customers to build their own business through other channels such as customer service and promotion; and,
* Manage and report on the business growth and implement innovative ideas to further develop the Training Academy and company profile.
